The MS Maranta from Maranta Shipping BV (R.Kingma) runs with two clean and efficient 1,000 kW diesel engines. Two new Caterpillar 3512E diesel engines, each with a drive power of 1,000 kW, have been installed on the 5,000 tonne push boat. Thanks to the OEM SCR system, the engines meet the emission limit values of IMO III and were installed on a barge for the first time.
