Virtually all exhaust gas aftertreatment technologies depend on a certain exhaust gas temperature and fuel quality, which cannot always be guaranteed. In particular, denitrification systems (DeNOx systems) and particulate filter systems will only work smoothly if the exhaust gas is at an ideal temperature.
