Fischer soot filter type: LT-HD filter

The LT-HD soot filter was developed as a heavy-duty version to reduce particulate emissions across the entire load range in large diesel engines ranging in power from around 200 kW to over 4000 kW. The design and size of the soot filter depend on the engine type, the specific emission values, the application and the required reduction in emissions. The LT-HD filter can be combined with an SCR system and a silencer module. The advantage of the LT-HD system is its modular concept, which enables the design and manufacture of a customised and highly specific housing system for virtually any installation space and application. A fitted maintenance cover allows quick and easy replacement of the individual filter elements when servicing the filter, without having to remove the filter housing from the application.
When combined with a catalytic coating, a catalytic pre-filter and/or a SCR system, the following reductions can be achieved:

Carbon monoxide (CO):        < 98 %
Hydrocarbons (HC):              < 95 %
Formaldehyde (CH2O):          < 90 %
Nitrogen oxide (NOx):           < 96 %
Soot particles:                       < 99,99%

Structure
The HD soot filter comprises several components: the housing with cover/s, the filter substrates, the pre-filters (if fitted), flanges, gaskets and swelling mats. (see diagram on right)
