Sintered metal filter (SMF®)
Structure:
- Thin plates of fine-grained sintered metal are formed into pockets.
- A ribbed metal mesh stabilises the pockets from within.
- One filter element consists of several pockets.
Filtration principle:
- SMF® combines deep bed and wall flow filtration methods.
- The gas flows through the pockets from the outside to the inside.
- Particulate (soot and ash) accumulates in the porous structure and on the surfaces of the pockets.
Separation rate:
- The guaranteed separation rate is 95%, measured as almost 100%.
Coating:
- A catalytic coating is possible as well.
Special features :
- The SMF® possesses an extremely high ash storage capacity, enabling long cleaning intervals.
- A high-pressure cleaner can be used for simple cleaning.
