Sintered metal filter (SMF®)

Structure:

  • Thin plates of fine-grained sintered metal are formed into pockets.
  • A ribbed metal mesh stabilises the pockets from within.
  •  One filter element consists of several pockets.

Filtration principle:

  • SMF® combines deep bed and wall flow filtration methods.
  • The gas flows through the pockets from the outside to the inside.
  • Particulate (soot and ash) accumulates in the porous structure and on the surfaces of the pockets.

Separation rate:

  • The guaranteed separation rate is 95%, measured as almost 100%.

Coating:

  • A catalytic coating is possible as well.

Special features :

  • The SMF® possesses an extremely high ash storage capacity, enabling long cleaning intervals.
  • A high-pressure cleaner can be used for simple cleaning.
